Taxonomy
Cyclolites jamaicaensis was named by Wells (1934). Its type locality is Providence, which is in a Maastrichtian marine shale in the Providence Shales Formation of Jamaica.

It was recombined as Cunnolites jamaicaensis by Kiessling (2008).
