Taxonomy
Vorkutia tshernovi was named by Rohdendorf (1947). It is an impression. Its type locality is Vorkuta Deposit, Borehole K-138, Depth 278.5 m, which is in a Kungurian marine siliciclastic in the Lek-Vorkuta Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Vorkutia.
