Latiastrea gironensis

Taxonomy
Thalamocoenia gironensis was named by Beauvais and Bernier (1981). Its type locality is Giron, Ain, Rhone-Alpes, which is in a Kimmeridgian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Calcaires construits de Molinges Formation of France.

It was recombined as Latiastrea gironensis by Kiessling (2008).
