Taxonomy
Astrocoenia minima was named by Fromentel (1857). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MMH locality Su 123, which is in a Barremian marine limestone in the Barranquín Formation of Venezuela.
It was recombined as Actinastrea minima by Morycowa (1964); it was recombined as Stelidioseris minima by Löser et al. (2013).
