Taxonomy
Thamnastraea settsassi was named by Volz (1896). It is not extant. Its type locality is Forcella di Sett Sass, Italy, which is in a Carnian shallow subtidal marl in the Cassian Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Thamnasteria settsassi by Volz (1896); it was recombined as Thamnotropis settsassi by Turnsek and Senowbari-Daryan (1994); it was recombined as Thamnasteriamorpha settsassi by Kiessling (2014).
