Taxonomy
Hallina nicolleti was named by Winchell and Schuchert (1892) [Neotype selected by Copper (1986P]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Zygospira nicolleti by Beecher and Schuchert (1893); it was recombined as Protozyga nicolleti by Cooper (1956) and Bretsky et al. (1977); it was recombined as Manespira nicolleti by Copper (1986).
