Praeargyrotheca is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Argyrotheca hexaplicata. It is the type genus of Praeargyrothecidae.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Praeargyrothecidae by MacKinnon and Smirnova (1995) and Williams et al. (2006).
