X. Y. Ma et al. 2014—Cylindrical body divided into a proboscis and
trunk. Proboscis composed of four stages: everted anterior part of
pharynx; smooth and non-retractable collar; bulbous introvert
completely invaginable, with long spine-like scalids arranged in
approximately 30 longitudinal rows with nine circlets; neck
region bearing conical to triangular scalids arranged in
approximately 30 longitudinal rows with 13 circlets. Annulated
trunk stout, cylindrical; spinules arranged along annuli, more
regular in circles on posterior trunk; larger seta-like projections
scattered around mid trunk. Terminal part of body distinctively
expanded, globular. Mouth opening leading to a muscular,
partially eversible pharynx lined with teeth, and thence to a
straight intestine; hindgut with round cuticular structure; anus
terminal
