Taxonomy
Maldybulakia malcolmi was named by Edgecombe (1998). Its type specimen is AM F.102533, an exoskeleton (articulated trunk), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Saltwater Creek Road, which is in a Givetian lacustrine mudstone in the Boyd Volcanic Complex Formation of Australia.
