Taxonomy
Hemitrochiscus paradoxus was named by von Schauroth (1854). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pössneck (Schauroth collection), which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate carbonate in the Zechstein Formation of Germany.
