Taxonomy
Goniothyris glendayi was named by Weir (1929). Its type specimen is L. 1662 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Salagli, which is in an Oxfordian/Callovian carbonate limestone in the Juba Limestone Formation of Somalia.
