Taxonomy
Boreocixius rotundatus was named by Becker-Migdisova (1955). Its type specimen is PIN 1125/1, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Malaya Kheta, Arktika (PIN collection 1125), which is in an Induan terrestrial siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
