Taxonomy
Telephus fractus was named by Barrande (1852). It is the type species of Telephina (Telephina).

It was recombined as Telephina (Telephina) fractus by Nikolaisen (1963); it was recombined as Telephina fractus by Owen and Bruton (1980).
