Taxonomy
Rhombaria was named by Cooper (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: K Sn Sepkoski's reference number: 882]. Its type is Terebratula rhomboidalis. It is the type genus of Rhombariinae.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Rhombariinae by Williams et al. (2006).
