Bembidion everestae was named by Pierce (1944). Its type specimen is LACM A4709, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ohio Oil well K.C.L.-G.No.1, 10450 feet depth, which is in a Burdigalian marine shale in California.
