Protosegestes lloydi
Taxonomy
Protosegestes lloydi was named by Pierce (1944). Its type specimen is LACM S9004, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is South of abandoned pier at Fort MacArthur, which is in a Tortonian offshore shale in the Monterey Formation of California. It is the type species of Protosegestes.
