Oxoplecia subcraegensis was named by Rukavishnikova (1956).

It was recombined as Triplesia subcraegensis by Klenina (1984); it was recombined as Grammoplecia subcraegensis by Wright and Jaanusson (1993), Popov et al. (2000) and Popov and Cocks (2014).
