Taxonomy
Plaesiomys (Dinorthis) abayi was named by Klenina (1984). Its type specimen is IGNA 411/24 (conjoined valves) and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Bokotorthis abayi by Popov and Cocks (2014).
