L. E. Popov and L. R. M. Cocks 2014 Shell slightly ventribiconvex with a hinge line shorter than maximum width and a weakly unisulcate to rectimarginate anterior commissure. Ventral valve subcarinate posteriorly. Ventral interarea curved, apasacline, with open delthyrium; dorsal interarea low, planar, anacline. Radial ornament multicostellate. Ventral interior with strong teeth supported by short dental plates and muscle field on the anterior part of the elevated pseudospondylium. Ventral mantle canals saccate, with slightly divergent proximal parts of vascula media . Dorsal interior with ridge-like cardinal process with a bilobed myophore on a short shaft. Brachiophores blade-like with short, almost parallel bases. Dorsal adductor muscle field gently impressed, quadripartite with large anterior pair of adductor muscle scars. No notothyrial platform and dorsal median ridge.
