Crioceras (Leptoceras) parvulum was named by Uhlig (1883). It is the type species of Eoleptoceras, Eoleptoceras (Eoleptoceras), Eoleptoceras (Wrightites).

It was recombined as Eoleptoceras (Wrightites) parvulum by Manolov (1962).
