Taxonomy
Groebericeras bifrons was named by Leanza (1945). Its type specimen is SEGEMAR 8067, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MallĂ­n Redondo, Sierra Azul, which is in a Berriasian carbonate wackestone in the Chachao Formation of Argentina.
