Taxonomy
Tetjuchithyris was named by Smirnova and Konovalov (1986) [Sepkoski's age data: K Berr K Vala Sepkoski's reference number: 881]. Its type is Tetjuchithyris flexibilis.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Vectellinae by Williams et al. (2006).
