Cleopatrodon robusta
Taxonomy
Cleopatrodon robusta was named by Bown and Simons (1987). Its type specimen is CGM 40243, a mandible (left dentary p1-3 and m2 + alveoli for other teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry I (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
