Taxonomy
Torynocrinus globosus was named by Hess and Gale (2010). Its type specimen is BMNH EE 13650, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Double Arches [Shenley Limestone], which is in an Albian marine wackestone in the Shenley Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom.

to holdfast or column part smooth, with short crenulae along
the margin, raised centre, axial canal eccentric on raised
area; sutures between radials partially visible, especially
in upper part; radial articular facets more or less equal,
forming a right angle with the base of the cup; radial cavity
wide and deep; surface covered by granules.
