Taxonomy
Pseudohymenopsis minor was named by Zalessky (1956). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Chekarda, Sylva River (Zalessky material), which is in an Irenian deltaic siliciclastic in the Koshelevka Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Protohymen minor by Carpenter (1992); it was recombined as Pseudohymen minor by Novokshonov (1998).
