Taxonomy
Chladocrinus empeldensis was named by Jäger (1985). Its type specimen is BGR/NLfB L4719, a stem, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Empelde, unspecified horizon, which is in a Raricostatum/Spinatum offshore shelf marl in Germany.
