Taxonomy
Mitostoma gruberi was named by Dunlop and Mitov (2009). Its type specimen is MfN MB.A.1654, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Bitterfeld amber (MfN collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
