Parafitopteryx duarteae
Taxonomy
Parafitopteryx duarteae was named by Martins-Neto (1989). Its type specimen is 047-PI-DBAV-UERJ, a tegmen, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Cachoeira site, south of Vargem Grande do Sul, which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large shale in the Tremembé Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Parafitopteryx.
