It was reranked as the subfamily Belytidae by Meunier (1923); it was reranked as the subfamily Belytinae by Ashmead (1893), Theobald (1937), Statz (1938), Buhl (1999) and Perrichot and Nel (2008).

It was assigned to Hymenoptera by Cockerell (1921); to Proctotrypidae by Ashmead (1893), Meunier (1923) and Theobald (1937); to Serphidae by Statz (1938); and to Diapriidae by Buhl (1999) and Perrichot and Nel (2008).
