Shumardia extensa

Taxonomy
Shumardia extensa was named by Weir (1959). Its type specimen is BMNH 53383, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stream on south-eastern boundary of Ballyvorgal South, Slieve Bemagh Mountains, which is in a Katian marine mudstone in Ireland.

It was recombined as Shumardia (Shumardoella) extensa by Hammann and Leone (1997).
