Taxonomy
Weberithyris was named by Smirnova (1969) [Sepkoski's age data: J Tith K Vala Sepkoski's reference number: 882]. It is not extant. Its type is Rectithyris moisseevi. It is the type genus of Weberithyrididae.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Weberithyrididae by Williams et al. (2006).
