Taxonomy
Ogmoconcha alaskaense was named by Sohn (1987). Its type specimen is USNM 389887, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 33144-33150 [Clay Shale Mbr, Shublik Fm], which is in a Tuvalian offshore shale in the Shublik Formation of Alaska.
