Taxonomy
Schuchertella planissima was named by Reed (1915). It is not extant. It is the type species of Aegiromena (Aegiromenella).

It was recombined as Aegiromena planissima by Cocks and Fortey (1997); it was recombined as Aegiromena (Aegiromenella) planissima by Rong et al. (2013).
