Taxonomy
Terebratula grayii was named by Davidson (1848). It is the type species of Streptis.

It was recombined as Streptis grayii by Wright (1965), Bassett and Cocks (1974), Mitchell (1977), Rubel (2011) and Hints et al. (2013).
