Taxonomy
Alloambria phoenicis was named by Wegierek (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 3901/748, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Obeshchayushchiy (PIN collection 3901), which is in a Campanian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Ola Formation of the Russian Federation.
