Euproops danae

Taxonomy
Bellinurus danae was named by Meek and Worthen (1865). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (University of Illinois collection), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois.

It was recombined as Belinurus danae by Woodward (1867); it was recombined as Prestwichia danae by Chernyshev (1927) and Chernyshev (1928); it was recombined as Euproops danae by White (1884), Raymond (1944), Copeland (1957), Anderson (1994), Babcock and Merriam (2000), Dunlop et al. (2013), Lamsdell (2016), Haug and Rötzer (2018), Shpinev (2018) and Lamsdell (2020).
