Taxonomy
Cubanirhynchia caucasica was named by Kamyshan (1973). Its type specimen is No. 6/1430 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Left bank of the Urup River (Sauzei), which is in a Sauzei carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation.
