Taxonomy
Rhynchonelloidea formalis was named by Kamyshan (1973). Its type specimen is No. 6/2075 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pregradnaya (left bank, Murchisonae oolite), which is in a Murchisonae carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation.
