Cymatorhynchia humilis was named by Buckman (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stoford (murchisonae zone), which is in a Murchisonae marine horizon in the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Rhactorhynchia humilis by Kamyshan and Babanova (1973).
