Taxonomy
Terebratulites senticosus was named by Schlotheim (1820).

It was recombined as Acanthothyris senticosa by Buckman and Walker (1886); it was recombined as Acanthorhynchia (Echinirhynchia) senticosa by Childs (1969); it was recombined as Acanthorhynchia senticosa by Kamyshan and Babanova (1973).
