Taxonomy
Epitomyonia paucitropida was named by Chen et al. (2008). Its type specimen is GSC 131794 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is section S-2, 45 km west of Dal Lake, Mackenzie Mountains, which is in a Katian carbonate limestone in the Whittaker Formation of Canada.
