Taxonomy
Pentatomoides incertus was named by Jordan (1967). Its type specimen is GZG 15066, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Willershausen clay pit (GZG collection), which is in a Piacenzian pond marl in Germany.
It was recombined as Carpocoroides incertus by Popov (2007).
