Taxonomy
Canadonectites paucicostatus was named by Aberhan (1998). Its type specimen is GSC 112346, a valve (right valve), and it is a mold. Its type locality is GSC loc. C-159444 - Graham Island, which is in a Sinemurian/Pliensbachian marine siliciclastic in Canada. It is the type species of Canadonectites.
