Taxonomy
Parastenaropodites circumhumatus was named by Aristov (2014). Its type specimen is PIN 5273/34, a wing (overlapping fore and hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kul'chumovo (PIN collection 5273), which is in a Capitanian lacustrine siltstone in the Vyazovka Formation of the Russian Federation.
