Philhedra stawyensis

Taxonomy
Philhedra stawyensis was named by Temple (1965) [Philhedra? stawyensis]. Its type specimen is BE 30760a,b, a valve (brachial valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stawy section, near Lagow, which is in a Hirnantian transition zone/lower shoreface siltstone in the Zalesia Formation of Poland.

Temple 1965A species of Philhedra with brachial valve of small size, usually with the ribbing of the host strongly impressed, radiating ribs on external surface very fine (probably bearing minute spines) and often apparently lacking, umbo less than one-third of length from posterior margin. Pedicle valve unknown and probably uncalcified.
