It was assigned to Protoconodontida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Protoconodonta by Parkhaev and Demidenko (2010).

P. Y. Parkhaev and Y. Demidenko 2010"Bilaterally symmetrical, widely conical flattened elements with bent convex tooth and elongated, expanded base. Anterior side of element narrow, rounded convex. Posterior side narrow, arched. Lateral sides wide and flattened, concave or slightly convex. Basal cavity deep. Angle of tooth inclination varies greatly. Tooth cross-section circular or oval. Base cross-section oval, pyriform or drop-like. External surface smooth or with longitudinal striae. Chemical composition of elements calcium phosphate."
