Argodiscus was named by Prokop (1965) [Sepkoski's age data: ]. It is not extant. Its type is Argodiscus hornyi.
It was assigned to Isorophida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pyrgocystidae by Sumrall and Zamora (2011).
