Planaphrodes bifasciatus
Taxonomy
Cicada bifasciata was named by Linnaeus (1758). It is extant. Its type locality is Radoboj (Grätz Collection), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.
It was recombined as Cercopis bifasciata by Fabricius (1775); it was recombined as Aphrodes bifasciatus by Coope et al. (1961); it was recombined as Planaphrodes bifasciata by Hamilton (1975); it was recombined as Planaphrodes bifasciatus by Borodin and Borodina (2021).
