Taxonomy
Lepidodiscus was named by Meek and Worthen (1868) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 318]. It is not extant. Its type is Lepidodiscus squamosus.

It was assigned to Agelacrinitidae by Regnéll (1966) and Sumrall (1996); and to Isorophida by Sepkoski (2002).
