Taxonomy
Anetoceras hunsrueckianum was named by Erben (1960). It is the type species of Anetoceras (Teneroceras).

It was recombined as Anetoceras (Teneroceras) hunsrueckianum by Chlupac and Turek (1983); it was recombined as Ivoites hunsrueckianus by De Baets et al. (2009).
